  • Bachelors & Masters Degrees in Forest Resources Management, University of Georgia, Warnell School of Forestry & Natural Resources

  • TWS Certified Wildlife Biologist

  • 40+ years experience in wildlife conservation with emphasis on integrating management for bobwhite quail, eastern wild turkeys and white-tailed deer into forested & agricultural landscapes

  • Worked extensively  in Oklahoma, South Carolina & Georgia 

  • Served as Ga Wildlife Resources Division Wild Turkey Program Coordinator & Project Leader for the state's Bobwhite Quail Initiative

  • Worked as Tall Timbers Gamebird Program  Regional Gamebird Biologist overseeing the Carolina Regional Quail Project

  • Hands on experience with prescribed burning, herbicide treatments, timber & food plot management, longleaf pine planting & monitoring of bobwhites & predators

  • Served as author or co-author on well over 30 technical & 50 popular articles, including the book "Deer & Turkey Management Beyond Food Plots" by Kammermeyer and Thackston, 2010

  • Avid quail, turkey & deer hunter; own & train bird dogs
